Original c.1960s Ercol Evergreen 913 high-back armchair, restored and reupholstered. Tall spindle back, open spindle arms, frame in a warm mid-brown finish.
This is the chair you claim. The high spindle back fans out behind you, the arms sit at just the right height for a cup of tea, and it's the kind of seat you end up reading in long after you meant to stop. It's slim enough to tuck into a corner or beside a fireplace, but with a silhouette that holds its own anywhere in the room.
New Pirelli webbing has been installed the traditional way. The seat cushion is in 100% European linen in blue, finished with the hand-block-printed cotton borders that have become a Tāla signature: geometric patterns printed by artisans in Rajasthan using traditional methods. It comes with the large scatter cushion shown, block print on the front and blue linen on the back.

Condition
This chair is an original vintage piece, which have been restored with a lot of care. As with all vintage pieces, you will find inevitable signs of age and usage, that brings added character to the items.
Care Instructions
Upholstery: Use a soft brush or lint roller to remove surface dust on a regular basis. Chairs overs are not removable.
For small spills, spot clean only. Lift the liquid with an absorbent tissue, then blot the area with a clean sponge moistened in lukewarm water. To avoid water marks, dry the area by blowing warm air from a hair dryer across the surface.
Larger, more stubborn stains should be cleaned by a professional.
Scatter cushion: cold wash
Wooden frame: Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. Dry immediately.
To maintain the wood's finish, treat occasionally with natural oils using a soft cloth. This will nourish the wood and prevent drying or cracking.
General care: Never place in direct sunlight as this will cause fading. Natural dyes and yarns can be particularly vulnerable to sun damage.
